Our Day Out

These movelets were taken during our day out on the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Light Railway on the 10th July 2005.

On our way home, we saw an ambulance and a fire engine racing to the scene of an accident.

It transpired that one of the railway's steam locomotives, Hurricane, had been involved in a collision with a car at a level crossing.

The engine driver was killed in the collision.

These movelets, which are presented in the order in which they were taken, stand for the hours of fun we have had on the railway, and as a tribute to two engine drivers who have lost their lives.
